CHIANG MAI & PAI (INTO THE WILD)

Ponovno v drugem najvecjem mestu Tajske. Odlocila sem se, da tu ostanem dlje casa, ker je poceni, da se mal sestavim in obiscem zanimivosti v okolici CM. Seveda pa se v roku enega tedna pricne Songkran Festival in tajsko novo leto.... Festival (beri OBLIVANJE Z VODO) se odvija po celi Tajski, ampak pravijo, da ga je najbolse dozivet v CM - TO SE SPLACA POCAKAT!!! Ponovno sem se srecala z Maruso (slovenko, ki smo se srecale v Canchanaburi) in preziveli sva enkraten vikend, predvsem ob raziskovanju nocnega zivljenja. Ob vikendih je Nedeljski sejem, kjer lahko nabavis kar se zmislis. Istocasno se je odvijal Art in Kulturni festival, ki predstavlja glasbene skupine iz razlicnih sosednjih drzav Tajske.
Again in the second biggest city in Thailand. I decided to stay a bit longer in CM, to rest a bit and visit sights around it. And of course after one week there is a Thai New Year and Songkran Festival starting (means throwing water on other people) ... and I was told that the best place to spend is in CM. I found out that Marusa (the Slovenian girl that I met in Canchanaburi) is also in CM so we spent great weekend together.... There is Sunday market on weekends where you can buy everything there. And there was also the Art & Cultural festival.... presenting music groups from different countries around Thailand.

Najela sem motor za en teden in prvi izlet je bil v mestece Pai - 'V divjino' (130 km iz CM) skupaj z Kolowom iz Bolgarije in Lousem iz Anglije. Izlet z motorji cez hribe, skozi pisano naravo, rizeva polja... me je ponovno navdusil nad motorjem in nad nadrealisticno idejo, da si enega nabavim za potovanje po Aziji. I rented a motorbike for a week to visit all the Sights of CM and cities around and first trip was trip to Pai - Into The Wild (130 km from CM). I went there with Kolow from Bolgaria and Louis from England. The trip over the hills in a colourful countryside got me crazy again over motorbikes... again I was unrealistic - thinking to buy one.

Pai je zanimiva, mirna vasica obkrozena z naravnimi lepotami (kanjon, slapovi, vroci izviri, slonje farme...) in hribskimi vasicami z avtohtonimi prebivalci... Tudi nase bivanje je bilo kot v divjini. Spodaj je nekaj fotkic nasega bungalov letovisca, do katerega si lahko prispel preko mosta narejenega iz bambusa.
Pai is interesting peaceful village with beautiful countryside (canyon, waterfalls, hotsprings, elephant camps) and many hill tribe villages ... Also our stay was like in the wild. You can see our bungalow resort... you needed to cros the bamboo bridge to get to the bungalow resort.

Veliki kanjon z razgledom, seveda smo naslednji dan ob 5-ih zjutraj (po treh urah spanja) leteli na ogled soncnega vzhoda.

Night life in Pai offers a lots of different bars with live western music... but we jumped into a Thai bar with karaoke again...

Na poti nazaj v CM smo bili sele mokri (otroci stojijo ob cesti in z vedri vode oblivajo mimoidoce, se najraje turiste - oni recejo 'Falang')!!! Ampak nic zato, temperature so bile med 35 in 40 stopinj, osvezujoce.

On the way back to CM we got soaked up to the skin (childrens are standing beside the street and throwing buckets of water into people, especialy turists - they say 'Falang'). But nevermind, the temperature was between 35 and 40 degrees, so it was more or less refreshing.

Sukhotai

Ponovno je nekaj narobe z mojo XD kartico fotoaparata, tako da ste prikrajsani vseh lepot Ayutthaye in Lopburija. Mesti sta dokaj podobni mestu Sukhotai, ki je bilo prvo glavno mesto Siama. Polno starih templjev z skulpturami Budhe.
Again something is wrong with my XD card of camera so I do not have photos of Ayutthaya and Lopburi. But I hope to get some soon. Anyway both cities are similar to Sukhotai which was the first capital city of Siam. Ful of old Tempels with images of Budha ....

V Sukhotai-u sem 'slucajno' spoznala Jennifer iz Avstralije... predlagala sem ji da si deliva sobo. Naslednji dam smo si skupaj z dvema Korejcema ogledali staro mesto Sukhotai.... tokrat s kolesi.
In Sukhotai I meet Jennifer by eccident from Australia... I invited her to share the room. Next day we went to see the old part of city Sukhotai with two Corean guys... this time we rented bicycles.


























Pot smo se isti dan nadaljevali z nocnim busom v Chiang Mai.
We all together continued the road to Chiang Mai with 'night bus'.

Kanchanaburi - zadnji dan

V Kanchanaburiju smo se 3 Slovenke razsle... Dunja je sla na jug, Marusa na sever, jaz pa ostjam v K., ker si moram vsaj se Erawan slapove pogledat, pa most na reki Kwai.....

Kanchanaburi 3 sloveninan girls needed to say goodbye, one has gone on the South, the other one on the North and I stayed in Kanchanaburi. At least I need to see Erawan waterfalls and bridge over river Kwai....

Na vrtu hostla Jolly Frog so imeli enkraten vrt, kjer si lahko spoznal ogromno popotnikov... ucili so me ognjenega showa s tenis zogicami.... mi kar uspeva tko da, ko pridem domov... pripravite se na ognjeni show. Zvecer smo se odpravili na vecerjo in KARAOKE..... Tajci so nori na karaoke, na vsakem vogalu pojejo :D

On the beautful garden of hostel Jolly Frog you could meet a lot of trevelers... some of them were teaching me how to make fire show (with tenis balls on the wire).... I was quiet good for the first time so when I get home, be redy for fire show ;) In the evening we went to have some dinner and of course on the KARAOKE..... Thai peple are crazy after karaoke.

Naslednji dan je sesterica odsla na ogled slapov .... bi rekla da najlepsi plac, kar sem jih videla do sedaj. Na vrhu smo lahko tudi plavali pod slapovi v sinje modri vodi.
Next day six of us went to se the Erawan waterfalls.... the most beautiful place that I have seen until now. At the top we could also swim under waterfalls in blue natural water.

Zvecer nam je Robin priredil mini ognjeni show s palicami.
In the evening Robin made a little fire show with sticks.

Pot se je nadaljevala v Ayutthayo - nekoc glavno mesto Siam-a (danasnje Tajske).... I went to Ayutthaya next - one of the capital cities of ex Siam....

Kanchanaburi - Sungkhaburi

Sedaj potujem sama... Prek neta sem se dogovorila z Maruso in Dunjo, da se dobimo v mestu Kanchanaburi. Punci sta iz Slovenije in potujeta po Tajski, srecali sta se v Bangkoku. In ze se je zacelo.... 'go with the flow'... Se pred srecanjem sta punci spoznali localnega turisticnega vodica - Anda, ki nas je z motorji odpeljal v bliznji Tiger Tepel, kjer smo se stiskali in igrali s tigri... Fantasticno.

From now on I am travelling on my own. Bangkok was killing me (I realy got borred there).
On internet I arranged to meet with Marusa and Dunja in Kanchanaburi - where I was planing to go next. Both girls are from Slovenia and are travelling around Thyland at the moment. They met in Bangkok. And here we go 'go with the flow'.... they already met one local turist guide - Anda. We rented motorbikes and he took us to the Tiger Temple to squeeze and play with tigers. Fantastic.

Buffet v localni restavraciji, kjer smo lahko pojedli karkoli in kolikor smo zeleli za 1.5 eura/osebo.

Dinner in local buffet for 1.5 eur/person and you can eat whatever and as much as you want to.

Praznovanje rojstnega dne lastnice bliznjega lokala PhiPhi in spoznavanje drugih popotnikov.

Po priporocilu Ande smo sedle na lokalni avtobus in po 6-ih urah voznje prispele v Sangkhaburi .... vasico ob meji z Burmo. Vasica je situirana poleg velikega jezera... nas hostel je imel cudovit razgled nad jezerom. V enem delu vasi zivi etnicna skupina Mon. Z barcico smo si ogledali staro potopljeno vasico Monov in za tem njihovo novo vasico, v katero smo vstopili preko najdaljsega lesenega mostu na Tajskem.

By recomendation of Anda we went to visit Sangkhaburi village that was 6 hours far from Kanchanaburi near the board with Burma and close to a big lake... our Guesthouse had a view over that lake. In one part of the village (across the lake) lives ethnic group Mon. We saw old fluded Mon's village and crosed the longest wooden bridge in Thyland to visit new village of Mons. Countryside is marvelous here.

Zvecer je vasica dokaj zaspana... dolgocasje smo ubile s fotografiranjem s klobucki, ki jih nosijo Moni.

Cos village is rather sleepy we did know what to do in the evening... we amused ourselves by taking photos with hats that are tipical for Mons.

nazaj v Bangkok

Ker sta Maja in Simon letela nazaj domov, smo dan pred odhodom obiskali se nekaj zanimivosti Bangkoka. Farma kac razstavlja najbolj znamenite kace Tajske, po ogledu le te in po mini showu smo imeli priloznost se fotkat z lacno kaco okoli vratu... k sreci nismo bili njeno kosilo.

Because Maja & Simon needed to fly back home we visited some more sights of Bangkok the day before they left. We visited Snake farm that exhibits snakes of Thayland and after mini show we had a chance to take some photos with hungry snake around our neck :) Luckily we were not her favourite choice :)

In Tanja nebi bila Tanja, ce bi samo hodila po mestu in to je to. Neki sm tela uspict... pogledam okoli sebe in me sine ideja, da se spravimo na najblizji stolp. Ko smo vstopili se je izkazalo, da je to 2. najvecji stolp v Bangkoku v katerem je hotel s prestizno restavracijo na vrhu. Na zalost je za obisk restavracije dress-code bil obvezen. Prijazno osebje je Simonu posodilo cevlje in hlace in nas poslalo na 59 nadstropje, kar je 196m visine. Imeli smo fantasticen nocni razgled nad mestom s 17 mio prebivalstva. QL ne?

It just wouldn't be me if I would just walk around the city. I wanted to do something crazy.... I looked around and sudenly got un idea to go on the top of one closer tower. After entering the building we found out that this is a hotel with a restaurant at the top. Very kind staff they borrowed the shoes and trousers for Simon cos dress code was obligatory. They sent us on the 59th flor, which was 196m high and we had a marvelous noght view over the Bangkok that has 17 mio citizens. We visited the second highest tower in BKK.

Otocka Ko Samui in Ko Tao

Najprej, hvala za vse komentarje na blogu in maile, vi kar pisite ... vse preberem, sam ni veliko casa za odgovore. First thank you for all the comments on the blog and e-mails, continue writing... I read it all, just don't have that much time to reply... you understand me :)

Iz severa letimo na jug... najprej na otocek Ko Samui. Zelo turisticen otok z veliko trgovinicami, stojnicami, clubi, masaznimi saloni...

Ker nam otocek ni bil najbolj vsec (tudi morje ni bilo ravno cisto), smo odpluli na mini otocek Koh Tao - poznan kot otok zelv (ceprav jih ni - bile nekoc). Sem vecinoma zahajajo potapljaci - veliko je centrov za potapljanje. Sli smo na celodnevno snorklanje okoli otocka in v pisanem podvodnem svetu zivali smo zaplavali tudi med morske pse... in to brez kletk, da ne bo pomote.

We flew from the north to the south...first on the ireland named Ko Samui. Very turistical ireland with many shops, markets, clubs, massage saloons...

We didn't like it very much (also the sea wasn't very clean) and decided to go on mini ireland Koh Tao - known as an ireland of turtles althougt there aren't any (used to be). The ireland is good spot for divers too - there are many diving centers. We decided only to go snorkeling around the ireland and among sea colorful animals we had chance to swim with sharks too... and without cages.

Ko Tao nam je bil resnicno vsec se posebej, ker smo bungalov dobili skoraj na plazi (no 5m stran pa res) in 5m od restavracije.... kaj ces bolsga! Plaza in morje sta bila fantasticna.

We realy liked Ko Tao especially because we got bungalow almost on the beach (actually 5m from it) and 5m from the restaurant... what could be better! And the beach and the water sea was really incredible.

Seveda smo se morali slikati s pridno natakarico War-Wa iz Burme in odlicno sefico kuhinje Toy, ustregli sta vsem zeljam nasih lacnih zelodckov.
Of course we had to make foto with great War-Wa - waitress from Burma & Toy excelent chief cook, they satisfied our hunger every time.

Na otockih 'lady boysi' zvecer uprizarjajo show-e...., ki so lahko zelo zanimivi in zabavni. Z Majo sva bili navduseni nad njimi, bi pa morali videti Simona, ki je postal zelen med gledanjem showa... le zakaj :)

On the irelands every evening the lady boys make shows... and they can be really good ones (the shows I mean). Me and Maja were delighted by them :) but you should see Simon becoming completely green while looking at the show in the club. :)
